Benicàssim: tierra de sol, música y cultura

VALÈNCIA Enmarcado por el Mediterráneo y un entorno paisajístico de extraordinaria belleza, Benicàssim ha pasado de ser un destino eminentemente playero a convertirse en la capital europea de la música indie y electrónica, gracias al Festival Internacional de Benicàssim (FIB) y el Rototom Sunsplash. Así, viajeros sin pulsera comparten jornadas de baño en las fabulosas aguas de Els Terrers y Almadraba, donde restaurantes ofrecen el plato estrella: arròs a banda. En el casco antiguo descubrirás la Iglesia de Santo Tomás de Villanueva y su paseo marítimo te transportará hasta la Belle Époque de Benicàssim, cuando se convirtió en el Biarritz valenciano. Otra opción es recorrer la Vía Verde del Mar que une con Oropesa del Mar o adentrarse por los parajes del Parque Natural del Desierto de las Palmas. 

Framed by the Mediterranean and within an extraordinary beautiful scenic surrounding, Benicàssim has gone from being solely a beach destination to become the European capital of indie and electronic music, thanks to the International Festival of Benicàssim (FIB) and Rototom Sunsplash. Thus, travellers with or without wristbands share swimming days in the fabulous waters of Els Terrers and Almadraba, where restaurants serve the star dish: arròs a banda (oven baked rice). In the old town you will find the Santo Tomás de Villanueva Church and its promenade will transport you to Benicàssim’s Belle Époque, when it was the Valencian Biarritz. Another option is to travel along the “Vía Verde del Mar” that connects with Oropesa del Mar or venture into the Desierto de las Palmas Natural Park.
