Albuixech: Tranquila y sorprendente

VALÈNCIA. Salpicado por fachadas modernistas y barracas, Albuixech conserva el ambiente sosegado de la huerta. De su patrimonio destaca la Iglesia de Nuestra Señora de Albuixech (s. XVIII) y la Fuente de San Ramón Nonato, con cuatro columnas dóricas y la estatua del santo. La Vía Xurra te llevará por los alrededores de la localidad para conocer lugares como la Ermita del Cristo de la Misericordia. Si tienes ocasión, visita la localidad a finales de agosto y principios de septiembre, coincidiendo con sus fiestas patronales en honor a San Ramón (31 de agosto) y la Mare de Déu d’Albuixech (2 de septiembre).

Modernist facades and barracks dot the peaceful orchard town of Albuixech. Notable are the Nuestra Señora Church of Albuixech (18th century) and the San Ramon Nonato Fountain, with four Doric columns and a statue of the saint. Via Xurra road will take you around the town to places such as the Cristo de la Misericordia Chapel. If you get a chance, visit the town towards the end of August and beginning of September, when its patron saint festivities in honour of San Ramón (31 August) and the Mare de Déu d'Albuixech (2 September) take place.
